Join us Friday, August 7 for our Block Party & Paint Day!
The SE 135th Ave Community Street Mural started with a group of women near Lincoln Park who began meeting in late 2024. After a community visioning event in January 2026, the idea for a street mural came up as a way to bring families together and create something positive in our community.
Since then, 25+ neighbors have been involved in shaping the project through our WhatsApp group, applying for grants, a shared Miro board and our regular casual Women's Circle meetups. We're working with a local artist on the design and have partnered with The City Repair Project, Portland's leading community placemaking nonprofit, for planning and day-of support.
